The 30th International Exhibition AGRO 2018, the most important state level event of the Ukrainian agriculture, and the largest international agricultural exhibition of the CIS and Eastern Europe, was held from June 6 to 8, 2018, on the territory of the National Exhibition Complex "ExpoCenter of Ukraine" in Kiev. Over the past three decades, the exhibition has turned into the largest Ukrainian forum for tens of thousands of farmers, producers, scientists and everyone who are just planning to start a new business in agro-industry.
The exhibition was opened by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and the first Deputy Minister of agrarian policy Maxim Martynyuk.
Investment, primarily government investment, in the development of the agricultural sector, including in the segment of farming, means investment in the development of the state as a whole. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during his visit of AGRO 2018. He stressed that this year the Government had launched an unprecedented program of support for the agricultural sector, primarily for farmers and small farms. "I assure that a strong farmer means a strong state. We have a strong and great future. I pledge support for you (agrarians)".
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, together with the representatives of the Reforms Delivery Office (RDO), updated the export portfolio of the Ukrainian agrarian sector. The presentation of the portfolio took place on June 7 within the framework of the AGRO 2018, during the panel discussion "Ukraine: Time to Grow!" The event was moderated by Olga Trofimtseva, Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration.
The official delegations from Belarus, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Netherlands, USA, and the foreign ambassadors from 14 countries attended the exhibition. U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC) in partnership with U.S. Commercial Service and American Chamber of Commerce organized the first U.S. Pavilion at AGRO.
The German-Ukrainian Agricultural Policy Dialogue organized seminar on rural development. This project assists Ukrainian politicians and legislators in reforming agrarian policy and legislation, taking into account the experience of Germany and other countries.

energy BioFuel, the specialized exhibition for automation, management, GPS and GIS technology Hi-Tech AGRO, the specialized exhibition for agricultural construction AGRO BUILD Expo and the specialized exhibition of green building and eco-friendly houses ECO HOUSE.
More than 1,300 companies,
associations and research institutes presented
the latest innovations, products and technologies
in agricultural machinery, plant-growing and agrochemicals, livestock breeding, bioenergy, alternative energy, organic farming, and building in agriculture.
The largest exhibition area of AGRO was traditionally reserved for agricultural
machinery. Tthe leading international and domestic producers introduced the new
machines and equipment: harvester-threshers, tractors, multipurpose machines, seeders, sprayers etc.

The group stands of 17 Ukrainian regions (Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Chernivtsi, Chmelnyzkyj , Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odessa, Poltava, Rivne, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Kherson, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Zaporizhya, and Zhytomyr) were presented at AGRO 2018. Over 300 national brands of foodstuff and food processing industry were offered at manufacturing prices. Kharkiv region exposition was awarded with the gold medal . On the first day of AGRO 2018, Kyiv region set two new national records - "The coat of arms of Ukraine of the most roses" and "The Biggest potato dumpling”.
The first Ukrainian livestock auction was held within the framework of AGRO 2018. At this unique event everyone who was interested had a chance to bid and to buy rare breeds of farm animals.
Among the auction lots were:
- sheep breeds: Altay (Russia), Askanian (Ukraine), Dorper (South Africa), Edilbay (Kazakhstan), Reshetilov (Russia), Romanov (Russia), Texel (Netherlands)
- goat breeds: Alpine, Saanen, Angora, German Boer, Orenburg, Anglo-Nubian
More than 60 conferences,
seminars and meetings were organized by Ukrainian Ministry, Committees, Embassies, associations
and companies during the AGRO 2018.
Business program of AGRO 2018
Organic Round Table was traditionally held in the frame of AGRO on June 7. The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL, Switzerland) presented findings of its socio-economic study to assess the development of the Ukrainian organic sector, with emphasis on the sector’s competitiveness and job creation effects, especially in rural areas.
The first International Agro Innovations Forum took place in the frame of AGRO 2018 on June 8. The representatives of innovative enterprises in the USA, France, Israel, China and Ukraine shared their experience of introducing new technologies in the field of precision agriculture and digital agribusiness.
The automobile festival AGRO AUTO SHOW was organized within the framework of AGRO-2018 for the first time. The festival program included presentations of the latest innovations of the Ukrainian car market, test drives of passenger cars and SUVs, as well as a country-style show program. The most popular 14 brands in Ukraine - Citroen, Fiat, Ford, Haval, Hyundai, Jeep, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Renault, Skoda, Subaru, Suzuki, Volkswagen and others – took part in the show and presented more than 100 car models.
On the last exhibition day, for the first time in Ukraine, the Agricultural Investment Evening took place in the framework of AGRO-2018. This exclusive event brought together representatives of international investment companies, financial institutions and Ukrainian agrarian companies.
The exhibition attracted 185,000
visitors incl. 83,000 professional visitors.

strong agribusiness and high traditional farming culture.
